As a licensed clinical psychologist who provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to children, adolescents and their families, as well as adults, I appreciate how hard it can be to seek mental health services for yourself or a family member. I make every effort to understand your presenting concerns within the context of who you are and how you experience the problem. In gathering clinically useful information, I strive to establish a collaborative therapeutic environment in which you feel comfortable exploring a full range of thoughts and feelings about yourself along with your particular situation. 

I am available to discuss parental concerns about social/emotional functioning, cognitive capacities, behavioral issues, and parent-child temperamental mismatch, which might complicate positive interactions. Should a comprehensive clinical evaluation be appropriate, play therapy may be used to allow for the exploration of thoughts, feelings, and fantasies in an interactive manner. During regular parent progress meetings clinical impressions and general treatment themes are discussed. Older children are informed of these scheduled meetings, and provided the opportunity to express complex thoughts/feelings about inviting cooperative oversight between important adults in their lives and their therapist.

I have provided assessment and therapy services to individuals of all ages in multiple settings including community mental health center, shelter, hospital, local public and charter schools, and university clinic. Clinical interests include, among other issues; developmental delays, educational and learning problems, school refusal, college adjustment, employment transitions, adoption, blended families, parenting concerns, interpersonal challenges, chronic health care needs, grief /loss, shyness, depression, anxiety, and trauma
