Dr. Mary Ellis is licensed as a clinical psychologist in The Commonwealth of Virginia. She is credentialed by The National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. Clinical specialities include children and adolescents. Prior to becoming a psychologist, Dr. Ellis practiced intellectual property law.
Clinical experience: Dr. Ellis completed externship training at Children's National Medical Hospital, Hyperactivity Attention Learning Problems Clinic (HALP) where she administered psychological assessments directed toward differential diagnosis of AD/HD and developmental/learning disabilities, provided therapy and parent guidance. Dr. Ellis completed internship training and post-doctoral clinical work at The Women's Center where she provided assessment and therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. Following licensure, Dr. Ellis served as Clinical Group Supervisor for the Internship Program at The Women's Center.
Dr. Ellis has provided therapeutic services to various local communities including: Patrick Henry Shelter House (Falls Church, VA), The Barbara Jordan Public Charter School (DC), Leary School of Virginia (Alexandria), House of Ruth/Reunified Families (DC), GWU Center Clinic (DC), and Minnie Howard School (Alexandria. VA).
